In this video, I will be showing you how to speed up to the two most recent versions of windows which are Windows Vista and Windows 7. The tips I will give you in this video are very quick and easy and can be done in under 5 minutes so I highly recommend using them. I only use one program which is called CCleaner (many of you might of heard of it) and I will show you how to use it. However I will put links further down for CCleaner and other VERY helpful programs that you should use regularly.
Step 1: Disabling aero and other visual features.
Go to my start and Right click computer.
Then click on computer and go to advanced system settings.
Go to the advanced tab and under performance click on settings.
Under the visual effects tab you can either click on adjust for best performance which will remove all visual effects.
Or you can select custom and choose which visual effects you want and which you dont want and you can copy my settings from the video.
Step 2: Virtual memory
From the same window go to the advanced tab and click change under virtual memory.
Here you will want to change it from no paging file to custom size.
In the Initial size and maximum size sections you will need to change it to the value shown under Recommended.
Step 3: CCleaner

Once you have installed it, open it.
Then click analyze and once it has finished analyzing click on run cleaner.
Go to the registry section and clean out the registry (its pretty simple).
Then in the tools section uninstall any junk and unwanted programs.
Also get rid of any start up programs using the startup manager.
