I was reading about Khalid ibn al Walid , a commander in the Muslim's era. what is interesting about him that he was never been defeated in any of the hundred battles that he encountered. My question are there military commanders similar to him fought hundred of hard battle and wasent defeated ?

Khalid is said to have fought around a hundred battles, both major battles and minor skirmishes as well as single duels, during his military career. Having remained undefeated, he is claimed by some to be one of the finest military generals in history.
its a side question but how he accomplished to win all these battles without being defeated ? , they explained that he was smart and brave , but Napeleon considered also as smart general with new tactis , yet he was defeated in battles.
